Describe your employment/professional experience, including current employment.

I am currently retired. I graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre. I taught High School English and Drama in South Dakota as well as Michigan. When my husband, daughter, and I moved to California, I took a job with AT&T. My career with AT&T gave me a whole new level of working with people as well as developing my leadership skills.

Describe any other special skills or experience.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre. I taught High School English Drama and English for many years. I also worked for AT&T for ten years as a corporate trainer, when I retired from them, I was a Process Engineer. This year, the CA Online Branch has achieved the National Designation of being a Five Star Branch! I am also a community actor, I enjoy acting in Mammoth with the Mammoth Repertory Company and Sierra Classic Theatre.

Explain how you will incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion in your plans.

I feel having a diverse membership, as well as a diverse board of directors is vital to the life and longevity of AAUW. I will work to encourage and mentor members to join and become leaders.

Give your reasons for running for this office.

I was a member of the very FIRST Board when we went to that type f governance. I feel I bring some unique skills to the table because of my personality and my experience with the CA Online Branch and leading us to become a Five Star Branch.
