Projects

Projects are ongoing statewide endeavors developed and operated by AAUW CA to further its mission. Any California branch may participate in an AAUW CA Project. They have their own state coordinators, self-funded budgets and information on the state website. Projects increase AAUW's presence in the community and energize membership. Branches are encouraged to pilot new ideas that could be adopted as future state projects.

Speech Trek is a speaking contest open to all California high school students.

Gov Trek

This virtual program for high school junior and senior girls is designed to elevate the next generation to pursue careers in public service and elected office.

 

 

Programs

Programs are generally short-term presentations or events hosted by local branches and Interbranch Councils. Programs focus on the mission of AAUW to break through barriers for women and girls by educating branch members and the community on relevant topics and inspiring them to take action. The AAUW CA Program Committee provides resources to branches to develop mission-based programs that will energize members and promote AAUW.

Start Smart

AAUW National workshops specifically designed for college students about to enter the job market for their first professional job.

 

Work Smart

AAUW National interactive workshop that teaches working women to confidently evaluate, negotiate and articulate their worth on the job market.
