On February 24, 2024, the Executive Director of the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, Holly Martinez, addressed 29 members of the Santa Cruz branch and 36 members of the Monterey branch at their joint luncheon. Ms. Martinez spoke about her Youth Council, and indicated she would like to connect a council representative with each AAUW branch in each county.
